Check rarity before applying an orb

Free and above for Rarity and Transmutation

At a glance

A Rarity check accepts the rarity buttons you select. Use separate checks before and after a crafting action to control its entry condition and confirm its result.

Before you start

Complete setup, including the item position and Transmutation orb position. Use an identified, ordinary normal equipment item that can receive a Transmutation and that you are willing to modify. This example consumes one orb when the starting item is normal.

1. Add the entry check

Open your tree and add Check Item > Rarity. Click Normal so it is selected. Deselect Rare or any other selected button.

The picker always keeps at least one rarity selected. Select the desired rarity before deselecting the previous one when changing a single selection. Click Add to Tree.

2. Connect the entry routes

Connect Start to this Rarity check. Its condition met output is the route for a normal item. Its condition not met output handles magic, rare and unique items when Normal is the only selection.

Connect condition not met to Finish. This makes the entry rule explicit before you add the orb.

3. Add the Transmutation action

Add an Orb node, choose Transmutation, and click Add to Tree. Connect the first Rarity check's condition-met output to this orb.

Review the configured orb position before running. The check decides whether the action is reached; the orb node performs the click at your saved position.

4. Add a result check

Add a second Check Item > Rarity node. Select only Magic, click Add to Tree, and connect the Transmutation output to it.

For this short test, connect both outputs of the second check to Finish. You will inspect its outcome in Logs. Later, connect the condition-met route to a magic-item crafting step and give failure its own recovery route.

5. Run the normal-item example

Save and run with the normal item at the configured position. The expected sequence is: Normal check passes, Transmutation executes, Magic check passes, then Finish.

The item should now be magic. Compare the actual game item with Logs. A reached orb node alone does not establish that the item changed successfully.

6. Test the skip route and multiple selections

Run the same tree on an already magic item. It should fail the Normal check and finish before reaching Transmutation.

For a different check that may accept either magic or rare items, select both Magic and Rare. Either selected rarity passes. This is a membership choice; the item's rarity needs to match only one highlighted button.

Check the result

The normal item receives one Transmutation and passes the post-action Magic check. An already magic item skips the action. A hypothetical Magic-and-Rare selection accepts both those rarities and rejects Normal and Unique.

If it does not work

  • A rare item reaches Transmutation: deselect Rare in the entry check and inspect the condition-met connection.
  • The second check fails: inspect the item and orb positions, then verify item copying.
  • A rarity will not deselect: select the intended replacement first, because at least one selection is required.
